He's bemused, because he's pretty sure if he thinks very hard about rising to a challenge that the last thing he is going to do is relax.

Except he does not find that to be the case, and actually keeps his mouth shut in favor of doing what Anders told him his focus was. There's still some... almost hyper-focus, a little tendency to anticipate or try to, but he settles in easily enough.
